Introducing Katy
Dear Fun Intelligent Training Members,
My name is Katy Magoon and I’m a registered dietitian in the state of New Hampshire. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science-Nutrition from Keene State College and completed my Dietetic Internship through the University of New Hampshire.
I am currently employed by Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire and Hannaford Supermarket in central and southern New Hampshire including the Concord area. As a registered dietitian for Hannaford Supermarket, I put on weekly food demonstrations and offer nutrition classes and healthy living store tours to store associates, customers, and local community members absolutely free of charge.
The classes I teach at Hannaford Supermarket vary from week to week and may focus on such topics as:
- Digestive Wellness
- Eating For Immunity
- Holiday Survival
- Carbohydrate Counting For Diabetes Management
- Preventing Cancer One Food At A Time
- Stress Fighting Foods, etc.
All members of Fun Intelligent Training, whether they shop at Hannaford Supermarket or not, are welcome to utilize these services.
I am excited to announce that beginning in January 2011 I will be partnering with Fun Intelligent Training to help bring an even higher level of nutrition education to FIT members. These services will build upon the classes offered at Hannaford and will place more of an emphasis on weight loss and reaching peak physical performance, as well as allowing for more personalized education to help you reach your specific healthy eating and fitness goals.
In my free time I enjoy attending FIT BOOTCAMP,
running 5K’s and half marathons, hiking, camping, canoeing, spending time with friends and family, and staying active in my community.
I was born and raised in the Penacook area but currently reside in Loudon with my boyfriend Ryan who is also a member of FIT.
I hope to get to know each and every one of you and am certain that your attendance and participation in my nutrition classes will yield you the benefits you desire.
Stay well and stay FIT!
Sincerely,
Katy Magoon, RD
Hannaford Nutrition Coordinator

Hi Katy,
I am not sure if this is posted yo your blog or to the Hannaford site but I wanted to say hello. My maiden name is actually Panza. You must remember the Panzas! If not, I completely understand.
I am currently working at Second Start Alternative High School and am interested in having you speak with our students if possible. Our students are all betweent the ages of 14-21. If that isn’t possible, could my class of students (about 6 max visit the Hannaford’s in Concord for a demonstration or class? It would be great to see you and to learn more about healthy nutrition.
It’s great to see that you are doing well career wise. I hope the other parts of your world are going well too!
Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
