Assessments
Why do assessments? What’s the point?
Our members all say that they feel better, have more energy and can fit into their clothes better than they could when they started working with us. These are all great things that are some of the primary goals of our coaching programming.
We also like to have a way to quantify the progress that people make. We do different assessments with different populations (bootcamp vs dainty boys), but they are all designed to show what all of the hard work translates to in hard numbers.
All of the 6:00 am crew did an exceptional job and made HUGE progress since the last assessments. This video shows the tail end of the plank; you will notice that everyone else finished with their respective maximal effort, but were all encouraging the one remaining person to keep it up. This great energy and collective will to improve is one of the many reasons our members get such fantastic results.
Give this a try at home if you like. Remember, a plank is a synonym with a board. Thus, you should be straight as a board from you shoulders down to your ankles. 2 minutes is a respectable time; if you can do that, the odds of you having back problems decrease exponentially. Many people are not able to hold a plank for 2 minutes, let alone the amount of time Brett held it in this video. One other thing to keep in mind when watching this clip is that Brett is (sorry!) in excess of 5 decades! You can lead a fit, healthy and active life for many, many years if you commit to leading a healthy lifestyle and this is proof of that. Oh yeah, he had just finished an 80 mile bike ride through the White Mts 2 days prior to this video!
